As a typical student city, Groningen has a bustling city center. There is always something to do. Visit monuments, markets, performances, exhibitions, or grab a terrace on the pleasant square of the Grote Markt. In Groningen your eyes and ears are lacking!
Your city trip is not complete if you have not climbed the Martini Tower. This tower dates from the 9th century, has a Romanesque Gothic style and a height of no less than 97 meters. At the top you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the city. The cultural life in Groningen is also highly regarded. You can visit well-known pop events such as Noorderslag and Eurosonic. The city theater and the Oosterpoort regularly have leading performances.
In addition to the bustling center, Groningen also has several parks, where you can relax. The Noorderplantsoen is perhaps the most famous city park, located north of the city center. Another well-known and large park is the Stadspark, which is located near the hotel! Several events are also held in this park every year. There is always something to do!
